Description

this is the same description from the other pages, so if uve read it once SKIPIT!

This is page three of a lil comic i did a while back. Its based on a true story.
see ive been working for a little retail company called walmart. while working retail you meet alot of interesting people. You meet a lot of assholes.

enough back story. i decided to do the comic traditionally. you know pencils, inks, etc. well I had the genious idea to do it on board. and add a lil acrylic in the mix for texture.

bad idea. I bought the wrong board. and i started running out of time, so i couldnt sand out the harsh underlying texture. that sucked. i ran out of even more time and couldnt even layer the paint enough to remove the texture. that sucked. so the inks turned out like shit. on top of that, my scanner isnt pig enough to scan the entire board. so i had to scan it in sections. 2 or 3 per page. that sucked. and, since the board was raised on one of the edges, i got this nice shitty blur at some point on every page. that sucked.
once i had the captures, i didnt take the time to size each page so they would print the same size. that sucked. so on and so forth.

for anyone who wants to get crazy and mix traditional media with digital, plan your shit out and do lots of tests. and dont run out of time! that sucks!

i could keep going on and on. but that is about the bulk of the problems i had. once i got all the shitty captures the touching up in photoshop was fun and all. Looking back on this project i learned ALOT wich helped make my adaptation of flannery oconner's short story turn out MUCH better.

anyways. that is all. comments and criticism. and check out the rest of the pages.

I worked at that pleasure hole for a year, so I can relate all too well. I'll be checking out more of your stuff.
